Samsung Electronics regained its No. 1 position in the global smartphone market in the third quarter of this year, overtaking Huawei.

According to the market research firm Counterpoint on the 30th, as a result of the global smartphone market survey in the third quarter, Samsung Electronics ranked first with 22% market share. This was followed by Huawei (14%), Xiaomi (13%), Apple (11%), and Oppo (8%).


In the survey in the second quarter of last year, Huawei ranked first with 20.2%, surpassing 20% ​​of Samsung Electronics. However, sanctions by the U.S. government dampened the upward trend, and in the end, Samsung Electronics regained its position in the first quarter.


Counterpoint explained, "Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy A series achieved good results."


The Galaxy M series performed well in India, overtaking Xiaomi and taking the top spot in local market share. Xiaomi is the first after the founding


It climbed to 3rd place, but Apple, which was ranked 3rd in the second quarter, fell one notch.


However, Apple predicted that the iPhone 12's success in the fourth quarter will increase significantly along with the signs of the box office.


The global smartphone market is showing a recovery trend as it has largely escaped from the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). Total shipments amounted to 366 million units, an increase of 32% from the previous quarter.

As Huawei attempts to ship HarmonyOS in cars and other devices, a replacement version for mobile phones is predicted to be released in 2020, consistent with Dr Wang Chenglu, chairman of Huawei’s Consumer Business Software department.

Many Experts think that this is true and Huawei is very very close to announce the launch of this new OS which will compete with, Andriod and iOS , already established OS in the Globe.

Experts also predict it will be able to give high competition to both of rivals and will make its place in Market.


According to Dr Wang Chenglu, HarmonyOS 2.0 Beta for mobile phones should be released in December with several improvements. Chenglu said development of the system is usually complete, but adaptations are still underway because it is predicted to launch for multiple cellphones.


It has been hinted that development of HarmonyOS started a few years ago, in 2016 to be precise. the primary devices to receive the remake are going to be the respect and Huawei brands with EMUI 11, just like the Huawei Mate 40, and shortly after, people who use the subsequent processors:

Devices with EMUI 11 are already optimized and will receive HarmonyOS 2.0 in the first phase , while holders of the aforementioned processors should be optimized and covered soon.


Finally, Wang Chenglu also illustrated how devices with HarmonyOS can integrate within the future, where each device or device can act as a system module.
